Through discreet and nuanced dialogue channels, we have provided a platform for constructive engagement, fostering understanding, de-escalation, and collaboration among conflicting parties. Our commitment to fostering sustainable solutions has positioned us as a trusted partner in navigating complex geopolitical challenges, with a regional focus on Eurasia and the Middle East.
The Problem
Geopolitical tensions and a lack of communication are hindering progress on international arms control negotiations.
Traditional diplomatic channels are often stalled or ineffective due to entrenched positions and political mistrust.
Many emerging arms control professionals lack the necessary skills to foster constructive dialogue.
Our Solution
NTF founded the Arms Control Negotiation Academy (ACONA) to address these challenges. ACONA provides a neutral platform for emerging leaders from diverse geopolitical backgrounds to engage in dialogue, build trust, and enhance their negotiation capabilities. Through immersive training, workshops, and mentorship by world-class experts, ACONA equips participants with the tools needed to navigate complex arms control negotiations. Now an independent international consortium based in Iceland, ACONA continues to foster collaboration and innovation in one of the most challenging areas of international diplomacy.
